The Kingsport Firefighters Association is proud to announce our endorsement of the following candidates for the City of Kingsport Board of Mayor and Alderman:
The KFA feels these candidates will represent our membership, and the city exceptionally well!
To be eligible for endorsement, the candidates completed a questionnaire and met with members of the Kingsport Firefighter’s Association Local 2270. During the meetings, members discussed public safety issues and learned about each candidate. The membership voted on each candidate that completed the process and selected those who were endorsed.

The Kingsport Firefighters Association Local 2270 donated 52 photoelectric smoke alarms to the Kingsport Fire Department on December 19th at KFD Station One.

Bill Anders, of the Kingsport Firefighters Association Local 2270 said, “The funds from our two concerts we host during the year provides smoke alarms, helps Operation Warmth to supply coats for area school children, and funds to present the burn foundation and other community projects.

“These new smoke alarms will help the KFD protect the citizens inside the city who need to replace the smoke alarms in their homes.” stated Barry Brickey, KFD Public Education Officer, “The KFD would like to thank the Kingsport Firefighters Association for their generosity and support to safeguard the citizens of Kingsport.”
